At least 25 people have been killed in a series of Russian strikes across Ukraine, Ukrainian officials have said.
The deadliest attack occurred in the Donetsk region town of Dobropillya, where 11 people died after missile strikes hit residential buildings and a shopping centre.
Officials said a subsequent strike deliberately targeted emergency responders at the scene.
Other attacks in the Donetsk region resulted in further fatalities and injuries.
Drones also struck a company in the Kharkiv region, killing three people, and civilian and energy infrastructure in Odesa was hit by drone attacks.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the strikes showed Russia’s goals “are unchanged”.
The attacks come amid increased Russian activity and as the US has paused military aid to Kyiv.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk condemned the attacks, saying “this is what happens when someone appeases barbarians.”
“More bombs, more aggression, more victims,” he wrote on social media.
The DTEK energy company said the Odesa attack was the seventh on the region’s energy system in three weeks.
