Abuja – A former Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, David Parradang, has been found dead in a hotel room in Abuja, police have confirmed.
The Federal Capital Territory Police Command said Mr. Parradang was found deceased hours after checking into the hotel with a female guest.
Police Statement
In a statement, police spokesperson Josephine Adeh clarified the circumstances surrounding Mr. Parradang’s death, addressing earlier reports of a possible kidnapping and murder.
“On March 3, 2025, at approximately 12:00 pm, Mr. Parradang arrived at Joy House Hotel, Area 3 Junction, driving a black Mercedes Benz,” Ms. Adeh said. “He checked into the hotel, paying for one night’s stay.”
Shortly after, a female guest visited Mr. Parradang in his room, leaving the hotel around 4:00 pm. Mr. Parradang was later found dead in his room at approximately 4:00 am the following day, after a concerned friend, a military officer, traced him to the hotel.
“Upon arrival, the hotel receptionist and the officer proceeded to his room, where Mr. Parradang was found deceased, seated in a chair,” Ms. Adeh stated.
Investigation Underway
Police officers from Durumi Police Station arrived at the scene, secured the area, and collected evidence. Mr. Parradang’s body has been transferred to the National Hospital for further examination. Hotel staff are cooperating with the police investigation.
