Dangote Refinery cuts petrol price ahead of Ramadan

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a ₦65 reduction in the ex-depot price of petrol, effective from 27 February 2025. The price will drop from ₦890 to ₦825 per litre.

The refinery stated that the price adjustment is intended to provide relief to Nigerians ahead of the Ramadan season and to support President Tinubu’s economic recovery policy.

This is the second price reduction by Dangote Refinery in February, following a ₦60 decrease earlier in the month. The refinery said it has consistently lowered prices to benefit Nigerians.

The refinery also announced that petrol will be sold at ₦860 per litre at MRS Holdings stations in Lagos, ₦870 in the South-West, ₦880 in the North, and ₦890 in the South-South and South-East. This follows a previous ₦70.50 price reduction in December 2024.
