Arsenal’s Premier League title challenge has suffered a significant setback after a 1-0 home defeat to West Ham. Jarrod Bowen’s headed goal shortly before half-time proved decisive, and Arsenal, already hampered by injuries, were unable to recover after Myles Lewis-Skelly was sent off in the 73rd minute. The loss leaves Arsenal eight points behind league leaders Liverpool.
Man United stage late comeback at Everton
In other Premier League action, Manchester United fought back from two goals down to secure a dramatic 2-2 draw against Everton at Goodison Park. Everton dominated the first half, taking a deserved two-goal lead. Beto scored his fifth goal under returning manager David Moyes in the 19th minute, followed by a header from Abdoulaye Doucoure. United defender Harry Maguire was at fault for the second goal, failing to react to a saved shot, allowing Doucoure to head home.
However, United staged an unlikely comeback in the second half. Bruno Fernandes scored a free-kick with 18 minutes remaining, and Manuel Ugarte then levelled the score eight minutes later. Despite Everton’s earlier dominance, United managed to avoid a ninth league defeat in 13 matches. They also survived a late penalty scare when a spot-kick awarded to Everton was overturned by VAR.
