Kogi State Governor Mourns Passing of Community Leader

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Ododo, has expressed his sadness over the passing of Salihu Ozi-Salami, the District Head of Adavi local government area. The community leader died on Wednesday at his hometown in Ogaminana, Adavi local government area, at the age of 86.

According to Ismaila Isah, Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Governor Ododo described the late Salihu Ozi-Salami as a compassionate and amiable leader who promoted unity and peaceful coexistence among the people of Adavi. He condoled with the Ohinoyi of Ebira land, Ahmed Anaje and the immediate family members of the deceased. The Governor prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the late Adavi District Head and sought Allah’s fortitude for the family to bear the loss.

Salihu Ozi-Salami was appointed District Head in 1994 and has been buried according to Islamic rites at his residence in Ogaminana.
