The wife of Kogi State Governor, Sefinat Ododo, has stressed the importance of collective efforts in promoting development and unity in Kogi State, particularly among women and vulnerable groups.
Speaking at an anniversary dinner held at the Government House in Lokoja, Mrs. Ododo praised the transformative impact of various women-centered initiatives and described the event as a platform to reflect on achievements and inspire further progress.
She emphasized the need for peace and harmony across tribal, religious, and social lines, urging all citizens to work together for the betterment of Kogi State. Mrs. Ododo also commended Senator Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Initiative, noting its positive impact on millions of lives nationwide.
The First Lady expressed gratitude to her husband, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his unwavering support, which she credited as a key driver of her success. She reiterated her openness to partnerships that aim to uplift women and vulnerable groups in the state.
The event, attended by women from diverse backgrounds, featured the cutting of an anniversary cake and a celebration of shared milestones. Mrs. Ododo’s commitment to promoting women’s empowerment and development aligns with her previous initiatives, including the distribution of sewing and grinding machines to over 100 beneficiaries through the Ododo Cares Empowerment Programme.
