Nigeria’s Super Eagles B Face Tough Challenge in 2025 African Nations Championship

Nigeria’s Super Eagles B have been drawn into a highly competitive Group D alongside Senegal, Congo, and Sudan for the 2025 African Nations Championship. The tournament, scheduled to take place in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda this August, will feature 19 teams, with 17 already confirmed.

Group Stage Draw

  • Group A: Kenya, Morocco, Angola, DR Congo, and Zambia
  • Group B: Tanzania, Madagascar, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, and the Central African Republic
  • Group C: Uganda, Niger, Guinea, and two yet-to-be-determined qualifiers
  • Group D: Nigeria, Senegal, Congo, and Sudan

The Super Eagles B will face a tough challenge in Group D, with reigning champions Senegal, Sudan, and Congo providing stiff competition. Nigeria will be seeking to clinch the title for the first time in the tournament’s history.

The 2025 CHAN will be hosted across three East African nations, marking a historic first for the tournament. Two final spots are still up for grabs and will be decided in a special qualifying round, with teams like Sierra Leone, Comoros, South Africa, Egypt, and Algeria vying for a spot.
