Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has declared a three-day mourning period in honour of the late former Secretary to the State Government, Tayo Oluwatuyi, who passed away on Saturday. The late SSG, known as Tukana, died at an undisclosed hospital after being involved in a motor accident along the Ife-Ibadan Expressway.
Governor Aiyedatiwa led a condolence visit to the deceased’s family in Akure, where he described Oluwatuyi as a recurring decimal in Ondo State’s politics and governance. The governor noted that the state’s history would be incomplete without mentioning Oluwatuyi’s impacts.
In a condolence message, Governor Aiyedatiwa wrote: “Hon Tayo Oluwatuyi, you came, you lived, you performed your God-given tasks, and you impacted lives.” He promised government support for the family during this difficult time.
President Bola Tinubu and other state governors have expressed their condolences over Oluwatuyi’s passing. Tinubu praised Oluwatuyi’s dedication to the people of Ondo State and his significant contributions to the state’s progress
