Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has pledged to operate a transparent and accountable system, prioritizing the welfare and best interests of the state’s residents. Speaking at the 2025 first-working-day prayer meeting in Akure, the state capital, Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude to God for the successes achieved in 2024, despite the challenges faced.
He highlighted his administration’s accomplishments, including the implementation of the new minimum wage of N73,000, recruitment of personnel into critical sectors, and regular payment of salaries and pensions. The governor also emphasized the state’s focus on education, judiciary, and infrastructure development, noting that Ondo State remains one of the safest and most peaceful states in Nigeria.
Governor Aiyedatiwa unveiled his administration’s new policy blueprint, ‘OUR EASE,’ which focuses on security, urban and rural development, technological advancement, efficient healthcare, sustainable agriculture, and education. He urged public servants and political office holders to remain committed to the vision of a vibrant Ondo State, ensuring responsible and responsive governance.
The governor also announced plans for a retreat to align top government officials and public servants with the administration’s goals. The event featured a sermon by Michael Ogunbayode, Senior Elder at Seasons of Life Ministry, Lagos, who emphasized the importance of seeking divine direction for the year ahead.
