Nigerian Widow Defies Minister, Vows to Fight for Late Husband’s Legacy

A bitter land dispute has erupted in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city, pitting the widow of a renowned engineer against the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) authorities.

Rita Lori Ogbebor, 84, the widow of late Colonel Paul Ogbebor, has vowed to fight for her late husband’s legacy, refusing to appeal to President Bola Tinubu to intervene in the dispute.

The dispute revolves around a demolition notice issued to Paullosa Nigeria Limited, an estate management company owned by her late husband, which is located on Plot 2241, Gwarimpa District, Lifecamp, Abuja.

Mrs. Ogbebor has expressed outrage over the decision to revoke the land allocated to her late husband, who she said played a key role in building Abuja. She questioned the decision to give the land to someone else, stating that it would be unjust to destroy her husband’s legacy.
