Nigeria and South Africa Set to Strengthen Ties at 11th Bi-National Commission Meeting

Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will lead the country’s delegation to the 11th session of the Nigeria-South Africa Bi-National Commission (BNC) meeting, scheduled to hold in Cape Town, South Africa, from 28 November to 3 December 2024.

The meeting’s details were confirmed in a statement signed by Kimiebi Ebienfa, Acting Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja. The 11th BNC meeting will feature a Senior Officials Meeting from 28-30 November, a Ministerial Meeting on 2 December, and a Presidential Meeting on 3 December.

The Nigeria-South Africa Bi-National Commission aims to foster cooperation between the two nations in key areas, including defence, science and technology, education, and energy. The upcoming meeting seeks to promote collaborative efforts, enhance bilateral relations, and drive socio-economic development in both countries.

Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, will lead the Ministry of Foreign Affairs delegation to the Ministerial Meeting.
