Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has made some significant appointments to his cabinet. Dr. Cyril Adams Oshiomhole is now the Commissioner for Health, while Musa Ikhilor takes on the role of Secretary to the State Government (SSG), and Samson Osagie becomes the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice.

As a medical doctor, he holds a first degree in Medicine and Surgery from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria. His academic pursuits continued at Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, New Orleans, where he earned a Master’s degree in Global Environmental Health, specializing in disaster management.
- Dr. Oshiomhole’s educational background is further complemented by postgraduate training in Clinical Research from Harvard University and Gastroenterology from Queen Mary University, London. Beyond his academic achievements, he has undertaken numerous professional and leadership training programs.

- President, African Students Association: Dr. Oshiomhole led this organization during his time at Tulane University, New Orleans, USA.
- Director, Health Foundation for Maternal and Child Care: He is actively involved with this charity foundation, dedicated to improving healthcare outcomes for vulnerable populations.
- Barrister Musa Ikhilor: As the new SSG, Ikhilor brings over 11 years of experience in Legislative Drafting, Parliamentary Administration, and Lawmaking procedures. He holds an LL.B from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and a Master’s degree in Telecommunications Law (LL.M) from the same university.
- Samson Osagie: The new Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice is a seasoned legal practitioner with a strong background in law.
