Israel hits Iran with ‘precise and targeted’ air strikes

Israel has confirmed the completion of its strikes on Iranian military targets, with all its planes returning safely. These “precise strikes” were in response to months of continuous attacks from Iran, including a barrage of missiles on October 1. The targets included military bases in the west and southwest of Tehran, according to an Iranian news agency linked to the Revolutionary Guards.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) view these strikes as retaliation for Iran’s aggression. However, Iranian state media claims the attacks caused no significant damage, reports Bahman Kalbasi of BBC Persian.

Notably, the US was informed about the strikes beforehand but did not participate in the operation, as stated by the Pentagon.

This development is the latest in the escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, following Iran’s launch of 200 ballistic missiles at Israeli targets on October 1.
