NASENI Trains Procurement Officers to Enhance Efficiency

The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has commenced a three-day in-house training for procurement officers and staff. The program, which began on Tuesday in Abuja, aims to equip participants with the necessary skills to manage procurement processes effectively.

Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of NASENI, Khalil Halilu, emphasized the importance of professional proficiency and technical expertise in procurement management to achieve the agency’s goals. “We want to be the best in everything we do, delivering quality services to achieve the overall goals of Mr. President’s Renewed Hope Agenda,” he stated.

Mr. Halilu highlighted the training’s significance, particularly for newly hired officers, and encouraged participants to apply their learnings to make a positive impact in their roles.

Olusegun Omotola, Acting Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), represented by Adebowale Adedokun, noted that NASENI plays a crucial role in national infrastructure development. He emphasized the need for transparent and efficient public procurement, ensuring good value for money.
