Nigeria’s NASENI Unveils Indigenous Technologies at Abuja Trade Fair

The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) is showcasing locally developed technological products at the 19th Abuja International Trade Fair.

The event, organized by the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), aims to promote NASENI’s 3C’s principle of Creation, Collaboration, and Commercialization.

Indigenous Innovations on Display

NASENI’s 12 Development Institutes, including NASENI Solar Energy Ltd, are exhibiting various products, including:

  • NASENI Transformer
  • CNG Conversion Centre
  • Solar CCTV
  • Automatic Change Over Switch
  • Solar Kit Trainer
  • Science kits
  • Rotary Furnace
  • Digital Roadsign
  • Animal Feeds machine

NASENI’s Mission

Executive Vice Chairman Khalil Suleiman Halilu stated that NASENI aims to transform Nigeria’s economy through home-grown capacities for industrialization and sustainable development.

“NASENI is committed to research, development, production, and reverse engineering of capital goods, machines, spares, and equipment,” he said.

Achievements and Goals

Under Halilu’s leadership, NASENI has:

  • Enhanced technology transfers and domestication
  • Developed more products for SMEs and end-users
  • Won awards and secured engagements with stakeholders

Trade Fair Significance

The event, themed “Mobility: Options for Transportation, Trade Finance and Transportation,” hosts over 500 exhibitors, 10,000 products, and 100,000 participants.
