The Nigeria Police Force has declared a British national, Andrew Wynne, and a Nigerian, Lucky Obiyan, wanted for allegedly plotting to overthrow the democratically elected government of President Bola Tinubu.
Foreign National Accused of Building Sleeper Cells
At a press conference in Abuja, Force spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi accused Wynne of building a network of sleeper cells to cause chaos and topple the government.
Comprehensive Investigation Launched
CP Adejobi said the police had launched a comprehensive investigation into the activities of foreign nationals and subversive elements plotting to undermine the government through unconstitutional regime change and orchestrating violence.
Nine Suspects Arrested
Nine suspects have been arrested, who allegedly received substantial financial backing from foreign sources to destabilize the country.
Alleged Activities
Preliminary findings suggest they orchestrated and funded violent protests, disseminated false information, and engaged in other unlawful activities to create anarchy and justify their illegal plot to overthrow the government.
Global Manhunt Commenced
Wynne, who allegedly rented a space at Labour House, Abuja, for an ‘Iva Valley Bookshop’ and established ‘STARS of Nations Schools’ as a cover for his subversive activities, has fled the country. A global manhunt has commenced for Wynne and Obiyan, who are accused of providing finance and operational guidance to topple the elected government.
