The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has appointed Mrs Rosemary Asuquo Effiong as the new Secretary, Labour, and Civil Society to its National Working Committee (NWC). Hon. (Pharm.) Wafarninyi Theman was also appointed as the new National Vice-Chairman, North-East Zone.
The appointments were announced in a statement issued on Wednesday, September 21, 2023 by the SDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Ambassador Rufus Aiyenigba.
Mrs Rosemary Asuquo Effiong is a trained banking and finance executive, diplomat, educationist, and administrator. She is a renowned social development expert and a highly sought-after public policy strategist with outstanding record of extensive work experience.
Hon. (Pharm.) Wafarninyi Theman is an astute agent of global social change, Fellow of Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC) and Chartered Institute of Arts Management and Professionals (FIAP). He was an APC governorship aspirant in the 2023 general elections in Adamawa State.
The two new appointments take immediate effect and are in acting capacities to be ratified at the Party’s next National Executive Committee meeting.
The SDP is a political party in Nigeria that was founded in 1989. The party is known for its commitment to social democracy and its focus on issues such as poverty alleviation, education, and healthcare.
