Former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Timi Frank, has raised concerns over alleged threats to his life by former Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva.
In a statement released in Abuja, Frank revealed that he has officially reported the matter to the police, urging them to investigate and take necessary action.
Frank’s petition to the Acting Inspector General of Police highlights Sylva’s alleged involvement in identity theft, impersonation, forgery of academic certificates, and giving false evidence.
He also claims that Sylva has made plans to harm him and is funding a deadly squad to monitor his residences in Accra and Dubai.Frank’s lawyer emphasized the seriousness of the situation, pointing out Sylva’s association with cultists and other deadly squads.
The lawyer referred to a past incident in which Sylva was accused of orchestrating an attempt to lynch and kidnap Senator Adams Oshiomhole during the APC primaries in 2015.
Frank’s legal team called on the Inspector General of Police to hold Sylva responsible if anything happens to their client. They stressed that it should not be considered an offense for a patriotic citizen like Timi Frank to expose corrupt and fraudulent activities of public officers.
Timipre Sylva is yet to react to this latest allegation but he has previously denied allegations of forgery.
