Nigeria Football Federation admits unpaid coaches’ salaries

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has admitted that it is “nothing to be proud of” that several national team coaches have not been paid for over a year.

The affected coaches include Jose Peseiro, head coach of the men’s senior side, and Ladan Bosso, who is leading the male Under-20 team at the World Cup in Argentina. Bosso has only received three months’ salary in the past 15 months.

Super Falcons coach Randy Waldrum is owed more than $100,000, including bonuses from last year’s Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The NFF’s Director of Communications said they were working hard to resolve the issue.
